Yes, these would look very nice in your MCM office, but they would also look just fine in your living room.
Almost all of Nelson’s stuff has this “go anywhere” quality.
I live in SF, and this is a very typical room – small, white, with rehabbed wooden floors. It’s one of the reasons MCM works so well in so many places in my burg. Big, overstuffed upholstery just doesn’t do well in the typical apartment here – they overpower rooms and choke your space to death. Here’s a fine example of MCM at work.

I’m not sure I’d stick that Eames chaise where they put it here – it looks too big for the space – but it’s kind of cool how it works with the aluminum group chairs, isn’t it?

I’ve noticed that, too. I’ve got that Nelson pendant lamp, a Nelson slat bench, a Nelson Ball Clock, and I’d love to have a Nelson thin edge bed. And I enjoy looking at all of them.
Of course, I have even more Eames stuff, and I love looking at that, too. So much of MCM styling has a sculptural, visual attraction to it, but Nelson, Eames, and Saarinen seemed to be especially gifted in that aspect of it.
I’ve always liked Bruer’s “Bauhaus” chairs. Especially because, unlike a lot of iconic MCM design, these actually are more comfortable than they look.
I have one in the master bedroom….

I’ve got one of these Eames Aluminum Group upholstered armchairs in blue. I tried it in the living room, but the wheeled base doesn’t really work well there, so it’s in the office now. Those wheels are really big and clunky.

That’s before everybody started bringing the job home 24-7.
The basics are all here, though: a small desk, a chair, and a sofa that can be used to sleep a visiting relative. I’ve got a room like this, too.
Another MCM office I wouldn’t mind having for myself. Although mine is pretty nice, too.
